## Our story

At Ava, we started with the people. A small core group of engineers got together to find an industry where we could merge innovation, passion, and simplicity to help people reach their greatest potential. Their attention was drawn towards the world of security—indispensable to modern work, yet often overlooked and taken for granted. Organizations needed the tools to understand if something was happening in real-time to keep their people safe and their premises protected.

We started Ava in 2018, and the two companies merged in 2020. Four years later, we’ve embarked on the path to delivering cloud-native video security to enterprises around the world.

We are headquartered in Uxbridge (London) and have teams in the US, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, and Poland.

The Ava portfolio of cloud-native video security is now part of the Avigilon security suite, under Avigilon Alta. Avigilon is a comprehensive suite of end-to-end video security products and services, that has flexible, modular layers of security, through fixed video, advanced analytics and smart access control systems. Avigilon is part of Motorola Solutions’ technology ecosystem designed for public safety and enterprise security. Motorola Solutions’ suite of technologies in land mobile radio communications, video security & access control and the command center, bolstered by managed & support services, create an integrated technology ecosystem to help make communities safer and businesses stay productive and secure. ### Norway

Nothing excites me more than being a part of something that makes an impact on the society we are living in. ‘Security’ is definitely not an easy topic, and every day feels challenging, but since I joined the company, I’ve gotten to work with awesome colleagues who are from all around the world that make our vision move forward. I have seen the company grow from 14 people to over 150 in the last couple of years. Keeping a flat hierarchy and our open mindset are some of our biggest strengths. We still have a long way to go and I’m very excited to see what we can achieve in the near future.

### US

After interviewing with numerous companies, I was excited to join a company that was revolutionizing the security industry. As the Director of Sales Operations, I have the privilege of working across several departments while optimizing the sales process and developing go-to-market strategies for our partners. I feel fortunate to work with a company where the leadership team truly cares about hiring the best talent, creating a culture of trust, and empowering the team to reach their goals. I joined Ava Security for the incredible products, and I’m staying with Ava Security because of the impeccable team. (Also because of the Ava #dogspace slack channel).
